He shares, in detail, his experiences navigating college admissions, the OPT process, and visa applications (including for an O-1 Visa); recalls the highs and lows in the architecture and construction fields in Iceland and the United States before, during, and after the Global Financial Crisis; and reflects on being an Icelandic immigrant, married to a Mexican immigrant, living in New York City, and a parent to two Mexican-Icelandic-American children.
