In this episode of Not an Alien, Aneesha – born in Alabama, but raised in India – explores the tensions and opportunities of living between two countries. College brought her back to the country of her birth, and, after four years in Michigan, she decided to stay on in the U.S. and has now taken up full-time employment in Atlanta. Although not burdened by the legal and administrative hurdles faced by non-citizens who seek to live and work in America, Aneesha has nonetheless found herself navigating the complexities of cultural difference and the often incongruence expectations of her fellow citizens.
